Editorial Policy

How we work

Inside China Tech covers the Chinese smartphone industry for a global audience. Everything we publish falls into one of four buckets, and we label it clearly:

  • News — confirmed announcements, official specs, launch dates and pricing from the brands themselves.
  • Leaks — unconfirmed information from supply-chain sources, regulatory filings, benchmark databases or established tipsters. Leaks are speculation until a brand confirms them.
  • Reviews & Hands-On — our own impressions of hardware we have used.
  • Compare — spec and value comparisons between devices.

Sourcing

We name our sources whenever it is safe to do so, and we link back to the original report. When a claim cannot be verified, we say so in the article.

Corrections

If we get something wrong we fix it and note the correction at the bottom of the article. Spotted an error? Email us via the Contact page.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom alone. Loaner units, review samples and travel do not buy coverage, and any such arrangement is disclosed inside the article.
