At the ChinaJoy 2026 event, blogger WHYLAB got a hands-on experience with Visionox’s “Seamless” foldable screen engineering prototype and shared on-site photos.

From the on-site images, this foldable screen demonstrates a significant improvement in crease control compared to existing mass-produced models. Even under strong light, the fold line is nearly impossible to see from various angles, becoming almost imperceptible to the naked eye.

According to Visionox’s previous introduction, the core breakthrough of this “Seamless” foldable screen lies first in its lightweight design. Its module thickness is ≤0.4mm, a 20% reduction compared to conventional modules.

This not only makes the final device thinner and easier to hold but also improves the stress distribution in the folding area from the ground up, reducing the pulling and squeezing of internal materials during opening and closing, thus preventing long-term screen deformation.

To address the user’s primary concern—the crease—Visionox has created a “trinity” flattening solution for dual optimization. In terms of materials, the traditional PET layer is eliminated, and a high-rigidity, non-plastic material is used to fundamentally prevent irreversible deformation after bending.

The adhesive layer uses a high-recovery OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive), which increases the module’s shape recovery rate after bending by 1.6 times, allowing it to quickly return to a flat state and reduce stress accumulation.

Structurally, it adopts a composite cover of “glass + ultra-thin protective film + nano-reinforcement layer,” paired with a support sheet with a gradient of rigidity, to make the force distribution in the folding area more uniform.

Test data shows that the fold line is nearly invisible under strong light, the tactile difference between the folding area and the flat area is controlled within 30μm, and the change in crease depth is less than 20μm after 200,000 high-frequency folding cycles.

It also breaks the notion that “thinner means more fragile,” with a proprietary high-impact-resistant flexible AMOLED panel solution that significantly boosts durability.

The front impact resistance is 1.3 times higher than conventional products, capable of withstanding impacts from sharp objects and styluses. The back compression resistance is 1.25 times higher, able to withstand daily external forces like backpack pressure and finger presses, achieving both thinness and ruggedness.
