Unveiled at the AITO G9 & HarmonyOS Intelligent Vehicle launch event, the HUAWEI Pura X View is the industry’s first wide‑aspect‑ratio bar‑form smartphone belonging to Huawei’s “Wide‑Family” product lineup. It brings expanded horizontal viewing space to a conventional straight‑bodied handset.

The handset features the world‑first 16:9.5 wide‑format 6.39‑inch screen. All four bezels are uniformly narrow at only 1.05 mm, delivering an ultra‑high 96.1 % screen‑to‑body ratio, with a total display area reaching 114.27 cm². Its visible content out‑performs many 6.9‑inch ordinary bar‑style phones.

For industrial design, the rear panel uses 3D grating‑pattern glass that generates dynamic light‑and‑shadow effects through geometric splicing. The camera island adopts the signature runway‑shaped ring deco. Weighing just 201 g and measuring 6.68 mm thin, it supports comfortable one‑hand grip. Four color options are offered: Shadow‑Leap Red, Linen Gray, Zero‑Degree White, and Phantom Black.

Even with its slim profile, the Pura X View houses a large 7000 mAh battery for all‑day multi‑scenario usage. The special wide‑ratio panel brings tangible improvements across daily workflows: narrower black bars for 16:9 movies and sports broadcasts; expanded real‑estate for short‑video feeds, e‑books and comic reading; wider horizontal field‑of‑view for competitive mobile games with better‑spaced on‑screen controls; and larger canvas for office documents, spreadsheets and PPTs. It also supports stylus input for note‑taking, drawing and video editing.

Running the brand‑new HarmonyOS 7, the system carries targeted software optimizations for video, reading, gaming and office scenarios. Pre‑orders officially kick off August 28.
