Huawei Pura X View confirmed with Kirin 9030S and 16:9.5 wide display

Huawei’s first “wide bar” phone, the Pura X View, has opened pre-orders today (August 28) ahead of its official launch and sale on September 7. Pricing has not yet been announced, but a leaked in-store config check has now confirmed the chipset inside.

Demo units are already on display at offline stores, and blogger ‘RuryRen’ shared a configuration detection screenshot confirming the Pura X View is powered by the Kirin 9030S. The same chip debuted on the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max as Huawei’s current flagship silicon, and it will also appear in the upcoming next-generation tri-fold device.

The Kirin 9030S pairs a CPU of 1× super core at 2.69GHz, 3× big cores at 2.15GHz and 4× mid cores at 1.62GHz, with a Maleoon 935F GPU running at 933MHz across 3 compute units. Three memory configurations are offered: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 12GB+1TB.

On the software side, the Pura X View is the first device to ship with HarmonyOS 7. Its ultra-smooth Ark engine debuts a performance large model trained on over 2 billion scene-learning samples, delivering a 15% performance uplift while keeping annual load growth at or below 10%.

The headline hardware feature is an industry-first 16:9.5 wide-aspect panel. A uniform 1.05mm bezel on all four sides yields a class-leading 96.1% screen-to-body ratio. Despite a compact 6.39-inch diagonal, the display area reaches 114.27cm² — showing more content than typical 6.9-inch bar phones.

The body stays slim and light at 201g and 6.68mm thin, yet still packs a 7000mAh battery for long endurance. Huawei lists four colors — Leap Red, Linen Grey, Zero White and Magic Black — with a 3D grating glass back whose striped texture and grating process create shifting light effects, plus a racetrack-ring camera deco.
