Xiaomi 18 Fold Xiye Red Design Revealed Ahead of September 7 Launch

Xiaomi has officially revealed the Xiye Red colorway for the Xiaomi 18 Fold, confirming that the upcoming medium fold will carry Xiaomi’s self-developed XRING O3 flagship chip and debut CXMT LPDDR6 memory.

The company shared a fresh set of product shots showing the foldable in its new finish. Xiaomi says the Xiye Red tone is inspired by the colors of autumn wilderness, meant to convey freedom and romance, and sits on a warm reddish-brown base. The result is described as understated yet distinctive.

Design and Form Factor

Visually, the Xiaomi 18 Fold uses ultra-narrow four-sided equal bezels and super-oval large R corners. Around the back, the camera module is arranged in a racetrack-shaped deco, while the side frame is a flat wrap-around design. The overall look is clean and compact.

Unlike a conventional flip phone, Xiaomi is calling the 18 Fold a “medium fold.” When closed, the outer display measures 5.38 inches and is pitched for one-handed use. Unfolded, the inner screen stretches to 7.58 inches, offering more display area without pushing the device into full-size foldable territory.

Powering the device is the XRING O3, Xiaomi’s self-developed AI flagship SoC, which has posted an AnTuTu score of 5.22 million and is said to be the first mobile processor to support LPDDR6. Xiaomi will pair the chip with CXMT’s LPDDR6 memory, making the 18 Fold the first commercial phone to combine a domestic self-developed SoC with a domestic next-generation memory component.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is scheduled to launch on September 7, alongside other flagship hardware.
